We’re also the controlling Port Authority for 450 square miles of the River Clyde, giving our customers the space, facilities and expertise to store and process more than 15.4 million tonnes of cargo a year and help them handle thousands of passengers.
Continuous Investment
Clydeport is home to a number of developments and infrastructure projects that seek to future proof our operations in the area.
The latest of these sees two new, £25m STS cranes installed at Greenock Ocean Terminal, becoming operational in Autumn 2024.
The cranes are the single largest investment at the port and will help accommodate increased demand from cargo owners, and support growth in transatlantic trade,
This investment comes less than a year after a new £20 million cruise ship visitor centre opened at the neighbouring Greenock Ocean Terminal.

Greenock Ocean Terminal
As Scotland’s leading west coast container terminal, with a 16 hectare site Greenock Ocean Terminal is responsible for the safe handling of a throughput of 100,000 TEUs a year.
King George V Dock
King George V Dock is the city-centric gateway to Scotland. It is the main river port of serving the region and boasts a 529m long riverside quay with a depth of 8.5m.
Ardrossan
Ardrossan provides a lifeline ferry service to Arran with up to 9 sailings per day.
Greenock Cruise Terminal
Greenock Ocean Terminal regularly welcomes the world’s cruise liners within our twin-berth. Our team look after cruise ships and ensures passengers enjoy an unforgettable stay on the west coast of Scotland.
Rothesay Dock
Rothesay Dock, the River Clyde's northernmost port, features a 3000m2 bulk warehouse, 4 acres of quayside storage space and opportunities for renewable energy storage.
Inchgreen Marine Park
Inchgreen is a first class multi-modal port located on the firth of Clyde with road, rail and sea access.
The site also boasts immediate links to Peel Ports purpose built container facilities at Greenock Ocean Terminal, two miles East
